I wrote a dread campaign for Halloween 2017. The pdf is available here.
Every time the campaign has been played it has been a lot of fun and quite unnerving for the guests.
Play testing Notes
In my first campaign, the players had an issue where they dawdled in the upper area of the house for a large period of time. I reduced the number of floors in the North Wing, the first rooms the players start in, to get them to the main hall faster. Then to increase the danger and tension during the final chase scene/fight, I added a third floor to the East and West wings. In my second play through this lead to a much slower climb to the attic, and a better paced rise in tension to the climax. I want to continue to watch the floor plan and the pacing between the different Acts through future sessions.
Future updates include creating more set puzzles for the Storyteller to choose from to surprise and delight the players.
